This first aid training course has been designed for All people with an interest in First Aid.
LGV & PCV drivers will find this course useful as part of their continuing professional development and mandatory CPC training. This course provides learners with the vital knowledge and skills necessary to deal with an Emergency at home or work until the arrival of professional medical assistance.
Our Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for employers to fulfil the legal responsibilities of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
All organisations must ensure by law that they have a sufficient number of employees that possess a first aid qualification in order to fulfil their first aid needs at all times
On completion of the course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills from the following First Aid topics. These include;
  • Aims & Responsibilities of the First Aider
  • Chain of Survival
  • The Law
  • Head injuries
  • Breathing problems
  • Contents of a First Aid kit
  • Scene management
  • Casualty assessment (Triage)
  • CPR Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Choking
  • Management of the Unconscious casualty
  • Recovery Position
  • Shock
  • Wounds & Bleeding
  • Burns
  • Spinal Management
  • Effects of Heat & Cold
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes

Proof of ID must be produced on the day, and attendees must have the ability to cope with the course theory and practical activities. To include the course towards Driver CPC, learners must produce one of the following; driving license, digi card, current Driver Qualification Card.


On completion of this course, students will be issued with an official Emergency First Aider at Work Certificate, which is valid for three years from the date of issue. This is an OFQUAL approved level 2 award in emergency care. A Driver CPC attendance certificate will also be issued if taken as a CPC day.



Clients have the option, where required, to spend one hour of the day covering common injuries/scenarios/medical conditions specifically related to their workplace. For example; LGV, Van, Bus, Coach, Warehouse, Office.
